Terms of service

Last updated October 13, 2026

These terms are a contract between Sabil, Inc., doing business as Rupt, and the business that creates a Rupt account. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you have a signed agreement with us, that agreement controls where the two differ.

1. The service

Rupt provides device intelligence and account security tools: the Rupt API, SDKs, hosted challenge pages, dashboard and documentation (together, the "service"). You configure policies, and the service returns signals, scores and decisions about the people and agents using your product. Those outputs are probabilistic. You decide what action to take on them and you remain responsible for the decisions you make about your own users.

2. Your account

You must be a business or a person acting for one, and the person who accepts these terms must have authority to bind you. You are responsible for everything done with your account and API keys. Keep your keys secret, use the client key only where the documentation says to, and tell us as soon as you suspect a key or account has been compromised.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Have a lawful basis for sending us data about your end users, and give them the notices and obtain any consents your jurisdiction requires, including for identity verification where you enable it.
  • Use the service only for fraud prevention, account security and the other purposes described in the documentation, and comply with applicable law, including privacy, consumer protection and anti-discrimination law.
  • Not send us data you have no right to share, and not send health, financial account or government identifier data except through features built to receive it.

4. Acceptable use

You will not, and will not allow anyone else to:

  • Probe, scan, overload or interfere with the service or its security.
  • Reverse engineer, copy or build a competing product from the service, or use it to benchmark one without our written consent.
  • Resell or provide the service to third parties except as part of your own product.
  • Use the service to track people across unrelated websites, to build profiles for advertising, or to make decisions that the law reserves for a human.
  • Circumvent usage limits or access another customer's data.

5. Customer data and privacy

"Customer data" is the data you send to the service and the records the service creates from it. You own it. You grant us the right to process it only to provide, secure and support the service for you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, pool it with another customer's data, or let a vendor use it for its own purposes.

For end-user data we act as your processor under our privacy policy. Our current subprocessor list and a data processing agreement are available on request, and we will notify you before engaging a new subprocessor for your data. Evaluation data expires automatically 180 days after it is written. When your account closes, we delete the remaining customer data within 30 days of your request, except where law requires us to keep it.

6. Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict production access to the engineers who need it, and scope every record to a single project. If we confirm a breach of security affecting your customer data, we will notify you without undue delay and no later than 72 hours after confirming it, and will give you the information you need to meet your own obligations. Details of our controls are on our security page.

7. Fees

Prices are on our pricing page or in your order. Subscription fees are billed in advance and usage fees in arrears, in US dollars, through our payment processor. Fees exclude taxes, which you pay unless you give us a valid exemption. If a payment fails we may suspend the service after notice until it is paid. Fees are non-refundable except where these terms or the law say otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, effective at your next renewal.

8. Trials and beta features

Trials and features we label beta, preview or experimental are provided as-is, may change or end at any time, and are excluded from any commitment in sections 6 and 11.

9. Intellectual property

We own the service, including its software, models, documentation and any improvements. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. If you give us feedback we may use it without obligation. Nothing in these terms transfers your customer data or your own product to us.

10. Confidentiality

Each of us will protect the other's non-public information with at least reasonable care, use it only to perform under these terms, and disclose it only to people who need it and are bound to keep it confidential, or where the law requires. This does not cover information that is public, already known, or independently developed.

11. Availability and support

We work to keep the service available at all times and announce planned maintenance in advance where we can. Support is by email at support@rupt.dev. A service level agreement applies only if your order includes one.

12. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in these terms, the service is provided as-is and we disclaim all other warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Fraud detection is probabilistic. We do not warrant that the service will catch every bad actor or never flag a legitimate one, and our outputs are not legal advice.

13. Limitation of liability

Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, however caused. Each party's total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to a party's indemnification obligations, breach of confidentiality, or liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your customer data, your product, or your use of the service in breach of these terms or the law. We will defend and indemnify you against third-party claims that the service, used as permitted, infringes their intellectual property. The indemnified party must give prompt notice, reasonable cooperation and control of the defence.

15. Term and termination

These terms apply from the moment you create an account until it is closed. You may close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or terminate your account on notice if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that threatens it or other customers, and we may terminate for convenience with 30 days' notice. On termination your right to use the service ends, fees owed become due, and section 5 governs your data. Sections 5, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 17 survive.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance. If you do not agree, close your account before the change takes effect.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information. Any other dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, seated in Santa Clara County, California, before a single arbitrator. Each party waives any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

18. General

These terms, with any order and the policies they link to, are the entire agreement between us and replace any earlier terms. Neither party may assign them without the other's consent, except to a successor in a merger or sale of substantially all assets. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Notices to us go to the address below; notices to you go to the email on your account.
